(no subject)

Navigating through bleary signals and Constantine's direction, Hell really is a lovely place. Through what looked like the shallow outline of a town (minus anything that looked like people), and down and down, avoiding the locals, into desert.

Still, they haven't been turned wrong. Corrine can tell Caleb's signal is getting closer, there's maybe a few more miles between them. She's not quite sure why they're doing all this "shh!" moving, they could probably toss any stupid little thing they come across. One of them could just go ahead and retrieve him, and there wouldn't have to be all this walking.

Yeah, she's grouchy. It happens. And it looks like there's activity up ahead... there's certainly a lot of noise getting louder.

"That sounds like more of the 'not awesome'."

Cursing in surprise Hotshot back pedals, throwing up a solid wall of flame first as a barrier, and then using it to shove the demons away from himself and Sand.

A second later he's airborne and on the attack. Thermal attacks in this case would be like trying to drown a whale with a garden hose, so instead Trevor starts hurling solid fire balls with enough force to puncture steel, interspersed with napalm grenades to be used as blankets of solid fire

Trevor’s solid-fire slams into several of them, punching through their chests with ease. Some of them are stopped, and fall motionlessly to the ground. Others press on despite their injuries, pressing Trevor just as hard as they can.

Sand manages to repel the first two, but another wave is right behind them, plowing into both Sand and Hotshot. The wall of solid fire breaks at best redirects their momentum, as they choose to go around the flame rather than climb over it.

"Damnit!" Travis repeats out loud, not appreciating the irony, as he hears two psychic screams at once. He focuses for a moment, and a wave circulates out from him, unravelling every magical pattern it reaches, no subtlety, just using what he knows about finding the energy patterns in magical things... including these hordes immediately on him, finding a scarred string, and /pulling/.
It doesn't radiate out very far, but gets him some room... to disappear.
