This is Red Tornado, altering course. I have detected the Ray making a beeline for Moscow.

Pause.

Multiple energy signatures enroute following him in formation.

A second later, as his ground-based sensors kick in on his approach -

And more signatures teleporting in in the ground. Estimating twenty or more.

He touches the part of his comm that almost never gets used - the one that requires a built-in safety be deactivated first.

Red Tornado. This is an emergency all points bulletin. All available heroes required urgently in Moscow. This is not a drill.

He hovers overhead, sitting crosslegged in midair, his eyes glowing, as he concentrates on something other than the forms and papers and video evidence the rest of the League is examining intently.

The edges fray. The centre cannot hold.

His eyes dim to normal levels, and he floats down to the table.

The presence watches us, and waits for us, and wants us here. This was not an accident.
