Hannu's signal seemed to be lost somewhere on the continent of Europe; until unexpectedly, the signal blazed brightly, finally showing through the darkness and providing an exact position.

Buried deep in the middle of the Alps Mountain Range.

Jade didn't answer the Manhunters. Didn't do much of anything, really. She looks to be gathering energy.

And as a living battery of the Starheart? She might well be able to do a ton of damage.

Hovering near at hand is The Earth's First Green Lantern. He is Alan Scott and her father. He crackles with the emerald energies of the Starheart, his eyes focused on his daughter. Perhaps a supporting role in this one, he thinks. He opens an outstretched hand in her direction, flames leaping off of him and jetting towards his daughter. The energies course through her and she feels her power grow, a channel through which her father's power flows into her own. He smiles.

"Alan, you need to calm your daughter down. There is stuff going on here that you don't understand buddy."

A young man steps out on the other side of the group making a half-circle around the group. He is dressed in old army green from World War 2 and half of his face is a bloody mess.

"I think Jade is more than capable of determining the level of force needed in any given situation. Let's just say I've openned up her options." He notices the man...and the others.

From the Starheart he sends a message, intended only to be heard by the assembled lanterns, What in Heavan's name is going on here.

"Come on Alan, how can you say that to me when we both know how overprotective you are. If you have so much confidence in her, why rush to her side everytime she sheds a tear."

The man's tone quickly intensifies with anger, whats left of his face becoming a mask of pain and rage.

"You're not like them, your something different. You can leave here if you want. They don't have anything against you yet. Stop standing in the way of JUSTICE!!!"

Alan scowels, "Justice? You speak of Justice? Do you even know what Justice is? Do you know what Justice means? You obviously don't know what family means."

"Family is irrelevant. It gets in the way of justice. Don't you see your precious little girl and all of her friends are criminals. You're not like them Alan....come with me."

The man reaches out with a bloody hand, a benevolent look on his face.

"You have to come with me, if you don't who would protect your wife?"

"How dare you speak of justice in the same sentence that you threaten my wife. Your thinly veiled threat reveals you for the evil coward you are. You don't seek justice, you seek vengence based on some psychotic self-determined principle."

"Ma'am, I promise you don't want to do anything crazy. I mean yeah sure if we were all robots go ahead and blasts, but what do you think your dear old Kyle would say if you killed a much of nice human beings?"

The pudgy man takes a disgustingly huge bite out of the donunt in his hand and takes a step forward.

"According to you," Jade seethes, "he's dead. Wanna make up your fu...your minds?"

Good thing Alan's there.

Alan notices her censor herself and smiles. His stoic expression and demeanor tell her one thing, he is absolutely confident in her.

"Ma'am, from what they tell me there dead and then really dead. Now why can't a pretty thing like you play nice now?"

The pudgy man shoves the remaining half of the donunt in his mouth and then lewdly licks his fingers.
