In San Francisco, things are torrential

Jesse Quick has sent out the APB.

But right now, Titans Tower is on fire in half a dozen places, and the torrential storm overhead isn't stopping the fires nearly enough. Lightning sizzles through the sky, and well over a dozen flying figures soar around the Tower, surveilling it and occasionally blasting it with something. Many more are on the ground and in the Tower itself - parts of the Tower explode periodically as the violence escalates.

The Tower is under siege, and the Titans are fighting a losing battle.

But things change, and Weather Wizard turns his head and sees:

Incoming!

Ok, this could take all night at this rate, and the Titans don't have that kind of time. Noting Zatanna and the other new arrivals down at ground level, and the air filled with villains, Travis centers a shockwaves from himself, and sends out a high-powered energy pule in all directions, not enough to get anyone on the ground floor, but chopping through vines, and slamming into those sharing the unfriendly skies with him.

This is getting him nowhere, a lot of villains, most of whom he doesn't know... and so far, nothing he's done has actually seemed to do anything to them anyway, as much as he keeps taking hits.

He recreates his own image, making it appear there's about seven of him, all racing towards different villains. All false images of course, but it may get their attention.

The real him uses the distraction to turn invisible, coming up behind the apparent energy controller, and swinging a ring-enhanced punch for the back of his head.

While the villain is stunned and reeling, Travis /unloads/ on him. He usually isn't the heavy offense of the Lanterns, preferring a support and thinking man's role. But when it comes down to it, he's still one of the people chosen to wear the most powerful weapon in the universe.

He's seen the villain absorb his energy, so he doesn't blast, just launching into a flurry of blows with the full impact of ring power behind it.

He didn't survive all the bullies in the fostering agencies, and on the streets, without knowing something about throwing a punch.

The first one hits the lantern's field, sending him flying and giving Polaris the well needed space, leaving him wincing, then phases again so the rest pass through him.

Backing off and feigning being hurt worse than he is, he makes a motion as if trying to blast Polaris, figuring between defending himself or absorbing it, and the fact the Lantern is currently out of phase, it will get him to drop the girders.

What Travis is actually doing is trying to get him to drop them, then guiding their trajectories back down to make sure they drop on some of the villains below, trying to give the heroes below some needed help, while he prepares to defend himself from the next assault from the air.

Assailed from all sides, and injured by the various assaults he's taken, usually this would be a bad thing. But as he told Tara, the more stress he's under, the quicker he thinks.

He can't hurt Giganta, he knows this. Hal could, Guy could, Kyle likely could, but he doesn't have the raw firepower. On the other hand, she's not known as the most careful of inidividuals.

He reshapes his shield to be covered in long spikes as her hand closes, keeping her from wanting to get that good a grip, then flies directly between her and Polaris, firing a blast at her eyes intended to be blinding and annoying more than painful, then goes into phase for her swing.

He couldn't do it with the girders, since Polaris had to try and shield himself, but this might work just as well.

Her fist passes through him in the blind swing, while he tries to pull her feet out from under her telekinetically while she's off balance from the wild swings, trying to time and aim his swing to bring the giant ass down on one of her buddies down below.

Then maybe he can deal with Polaris.

This is one of those rare situations where seeing the world in a 3-D map is much better than depending on eyesight. This time he was expecting the attack to come, and is able to dodge and weave through them.

Sure, he could phase, but he's had just about fucking enough of Polaris.

*dodge*
"Control of the forces of magnetism."
*sweep left around a girder*
"One of the fundamental powers of the world.*
*dodge up*
"Powerful, impressive, versatile.*
*sweep right, then down hard.*
"Green Lantern, bitch.."
*crack of a right hook across the jaw*

"Means mine is bigger."

Travis slams forward, feeling the arm he just partly healed earlier tonight snap again under the impact, and the full force of the blow. The impact gets him out of the way of the first lightning bolt, but the second impacts his force field, sending him reeling. If he could see, he'd be flash blinded too.

Fighting through the pain to keep focus, he grabs the girders Polaris was using before they fall, sending a trio headed at Monacle, and the rest towards Woodrue's jungle. Weather Wizard he has a plan for... he usually has a plan, but he'll need to survive just a little longer first.

There's a half-hearted blast towards Polaris, not so much to try and hurt him, but keep pressure on him while he's dazed, and keep the girders falling. He hates using pieces of his friends' base as weapons, but he has only so many resources now, and this is really starting to hurt.

There's a moment of disorientation... he'd panic, but he's never known a moment's fear in his life, and the worse things get, the faster his brain works.

Life support is easy. He's just damned glad that this guy has no way to know he hasn't seen the light since he was 7, and his radar sense still works perfectly well.

Kadabra will just have to keep, he's being overwhelmed, and if he goes down, a lot of the air support the heroes have goes with him. Supes is on the General, the mages have left the building, and Hawkgirl seems well occupied. Damn...

If he was one of the big guns of the Corps, Jordan, Gardner, even Stewart, maybe he could blast his way through this. It takes all he has just to hurt some of these people. His will is strong enough, he just doesn't tend to think in the direction of massive firepower so much as...

big guns... huh, maybe he can get some breathing room after all.

He rises higher, giving him some added dodging room, and seems to be aiming a blast for Weather Wizard. Its actually aimed just underneath him. He knows he controls the weather, and his flight is based on that control. Rather than trying for a blast, he sucks all the air out of the space, leaving a nice vaccuum... nothing to control, and hopefully enough of a surprise to take him out of the air.

Under that, he creates an extra shield between himself and Monocle, to keep the blaster occupied, but slanting it so the Wizard, if his radar is right, should land on a slide - angled towards Giganta's cleavage.

He hopes he figures right, that she won't be any too pleased with the result, and doesn't have the processing power to be too careful about her allies in venting her displeasure.

And maybe, just maybe, the biggest guns currently on scene can buy him enough time to focus on just one or two of these bastards before he gets swarmed under.

Perfect.

One more lash at her feet to try and take her off of them - not the most graceful of ladies. With some luck, with Wizzie in hand, she'll either toss him, squish him a bit, or land on him.

Not the prettiest plan, but if he can get even one of these idiots off of him, and clear the weather at the same time, maybe he'll survive.

Yeah right.
