In San Francisco, things are torrential

Jesse Quick has sent out the APB.

But right now, Titans Tower is on fire in half a dozen places, and the torrential storm overhead isn't stopping the fires nearly enough. Lightning sizzles through the sky, and well over a dozen flying figures soar around the Tower, surveilling it and occasionally blasting it with something. Many more are on the ground and in the Tower itself - parts of the Tower explode periodically as the violence escalates.

The Tower is under siege, and the Titans are fighting a losing battle.

But things change, and Weather Wizard turns his head and sees:

Incoming!

Superman looks up. Oh good God.

Slade, do you have any *IDEA* what you're playing with here?

He doesn't even try the comm signals, but goes for something else. A subsonic signal that is the JLA equivalent of the panic button.

And then he sees Zatanna out of the corner of his eye.

And heads straight for her. The General is strong, smart and deadly, but he's not as fast as Superman.

Superman whips around a corner...in time to see Zatanna and someone else fade from view.

If Superman dropped F-bombs, he'd be doing a strafing run about now.

As it was, he had to minimize body count.

So he doublewhipped back, grabbed the General by his waistband, and threw him as far out into the Pacific as he could manage.

Then he gave chase, hoping that he was far enough out of jamming range to be heard. "JLA/JSA/Titans priority Omega. Somehow the Society managed to get the General out of limbo. If someone isn't at the Tower yet and would care to help..."

But the Flash is a hell of a lot faster than that, answering Superman's call.

He races around the General, starting a huge whirlpool to suck him into, while furiously jabbing rights and lefts, trying to hit him right in the eyes.

He knows this guy's an unstoppable monster. Just slowing this thing down is chore enough.

It's actually a massive backsplash from one of his misses that does him in. Crashing against his face enough to unsteady Flash's footing.

Then his entire brain is nothing but stars... with the dim sensation that maybe he's not touching the ground anymore... he only manages to focus in time to save himself from being splattered somewhere in Oakland. But he's not getting up from that anytime soon.

As the General turns to regain his bearings, he finds his face...no, his EYES...awash in heat vision as Superman tries to burn them out of their sockets.
