Navigating through bleary signals and Constantine's direction, Hell really is a lovely place. Through what looked like the shallow outline of a town (minus anything that looked like people), and down and down, avoiding the locals, into desert.

Still, they haven't been turned wrong. Corrine can tell Caleb's signal is getting closer, there's maybe a few more miles between them. She's not quite sure why they're doing all this "shh!" moving, they could probably toss any stupid little thing they come across. One of them could just go ahead and retrieve him, and there wouldn't have to be all this walking.

Yeah, she's grouchy. It happens. And it looks like there's activity up ahead... there's certainly a lot of noise getting louder.

"That sounds like more of the 'not awesome'."

The army begins to cheer as Calibusk's dead shell impacts the ground, and Ellie's battered - but still quite living - body emerges. Those who haven't broken and run yet are filled with confidence: The Outsiders they can handle, it would appear, and the newcomer is no longer an issue.

Caleb closes his eyes, and offers a silent prayer for the strength to endure just one more spell. A moment later he taps back into the magic rolling off of Corrine, and goes to work on the ground beneath Ellie's broken form.

The pain begins to mount, as his body vehemently objects to the continued use of magic. After the Al Koyet he is completely spent, but he can't let that deter them. He pushes harder, but his body just doesn't have it left in it to channel large amounts of magic anymore.

He improvises, trying to use a small amount of directed magic to corral a large amount of ambient magic into action. It works. The ground beneath Ellie opens, drawing her into a ten foot pit before slamming shut, creating a growing mound that marks the spot of Ellie's living tomb. Caleb's concentration is broken by a coughing fit that results in his coughing up first stomach bile, and then small amounts of blood.

Around the Outsiders, the last of the army's will to fight is finally broken, as the entire body of demons decide to take to the hills, many trampling their own comrades in the mad panic to get the hell away from these people.

"W-What …. The BLOODY HELL … was that!?" He demands of John.

The rifle is tucked under his coat again as he gazes calmly at the furious Caleb.

"So you'd rather discuss this than get your dyin' teammates out of Hell? An people talk about my priorities."

She might be a little less sympathetic if she knew exactly what they'd found in that old church where the demon wore a dessicated body of a child. Guardian of the ley line that had existed on blood and pain and rage...going back to it's job wasn't a good idea.

But all he does is shrug instead of complaining.

"Ready when you are Sunshine."
