It was a very long time spent stitching, blood seeping through her fingers and her stitches. Still, they're here in space and Dr Mid-Nite has been stablized. He's not only been stablized but he's been worked on in many different ways with all of the super science and magic. He's been asleep since they got here. Bette has been sitting here watching over him, worried.

She's been reassured by any number of people but until he wakes up she'll be all but convinced that she's managed to screw something up. Maybe he'll be blind and mute.

He takes a moment to think it over before speaking. "Ya know when I first came back after the shit with me happened, it was me feelin' totally fucked. Though I knew that it was givin' those sick bastards power over me. An ain't anymore allowed to have power over me unless I allow them to have that power. I am no one's victim. But there is recovery between it and that's understandable."

Some of that she has no context for. At least not /enough/ context to really understand what he's saying. Still, the sentiment is easy enough to understand. "I'll...."

There are few people in the world who know more Robin trivia than Bette Kane but most of it is focused on Dick Grayson. Still, there is knowledge of the other Robins.

For a moment, she almost closes the distance to hug him but she holds back.
