Assault on the Rock : Rescue Team

As the Legion Satellite materializes in the strange yellow-orange space around the Rock of Eternity, Lyle moves for one of the airlocks, taking with him the team assembled for the rescue of Dreamer, Saturn Girl, and Teth-Adam.

The shadow demons are already swarming to the attack on the satellite, Mordru appearing somewhat prepared for the assault.

"Allright, ladies and gentlemen, we're headed for the cave down there in the rock. Omen, if you can cloak our minds, I will handle making us all invisible if everyone will stay close. Triad and I will use Plastic Man as a platform to get everyone down there. I can't project the invisibility beyond myself for long, so let's move quickly."

Lilith Jupiter is moving through the chaos, as though impermeable to their attentions somehow. As she reaches her fellow Titan, she crouches down, the better to place a hand on the girl's forehead. Strictly speaking, she has no need of physical contact in order to perform what she needs to; but with her current task of keeping everyone else's minds shielded on top of this new assignment, the physical anchor the girl provides will help her focus.

"I don't know if Mordru will sense his influence's banishment," she notes carefully. "So be prepared to move out fast if that happens."

Plaz is giving Deadman the stinkeye... mainly because he can. Usually, when that guy gets mixed up in things, nobody can ever see him.

Meanwhile, his arm has turned into a giant bag of Shadow Demons, and he's shaking them around like marbles.

"Do we really wanna free Tethy? He tends to be a bad guy, dont'cha know."

Imra's eyes open suddenly - responding to Omen's efforts.

"Mordru."

She momentarily seems confused by all the people around her, but that expression gives way to one of anger.

"I've had enough of his manipulations."

She closes her eyes - undoing the mental changes that Mordru has had her perform on her colleagues.

"It's a sure bet he's going to know, when the Legion starts attacking him, Omen. And yes, we should free Teth-Adam. As Shazam's champion, he could be of immense help."

Teth Adam, for his part, says nothing - but glares angrily at Plastic Man for even the suggestion he should be left here.

As a matter of fact, he seems to be trying to say something, but it seems Mordru has deprived him of a voice.

"He started out as a champion," the Black Canary says, shooting a quick glare at Plaz. "And no one deserves to stay stuck here." Cocking an eyebrow at Teth Adam, she adds, "Kind of a novelty, him being so quiet, but that's probably killing him worse than being stuck in prison. Can someone bibbity-bobbity-boo his voice back?"

"We should get him outside - Dr. Fate or the Stranger should be able to restore his voice."

"Make it fast," Nightwing replies, releasing his hold on the young woman and helping her to her feet. "We need to bail. Now."

Flamebird stands back, looking a bit uncertain. She shifts her weight from foot to foot, trying to stay limber in case something else pops out of the woodwork.

"Go." Omen says, more forcefully to the others. She can feel the delicate threads of her working becoming more strained under the consistent magical observation she's trying to keep them hidden from.

"Ah, hell." Wildcat sticks his shoulder in Black Adam's stomach, and tries to lift him with all his strength into a fireman's carry. "I mean, I only worked with the guy. Someone provide me with a bit of backup while I try and carry this mook outta here."

He ensures Saturn Girl is steady on her feet, then pushes her ahead of him while the others take point. "Come on!" He holds the rearguard, letting loose a barrage of razor sharp wingdings at the shadow demons seeking to converge on Wildcat.

"Brainy, this is Lyle. We're free and clear, coming to join you."
