Arthur has been spending as much time as he can on the Watchtower, which, is not really all that much. Re-arranging things in his kingdom and moving forward in his life, are things that seem to take up time and certainly take up time before being a hero. He does miss it, though, the adventure, the camraderie.

The food up here has something to say for it as well. In Atlantis, almost nothing crunches unless it involves bones.

Sitting in the mess, he's looking out over all of that blue, finishing off what must be his third glass of water.

"Hey, pal." A heavy hand is on Aquaman's shoulder, and if he turns right he'll see the smiling face of the Man of Steel: Superman! "Lucky break, catching you up here!" Is it?

"What's on your mind?"

"Heh." Superman sits down, smirking a little. "Don't let Bruce know I said this, but sometimes thinking's overrated." Clark eases into his habitual half-grin, his worry eased just by being around his old friend once more.

"I can understand." Superman continues, looking a little uncomfortable bringing this up. "After Doomsday, well..."

"So no luck, then?" Superman gets closer to the point, if only because Arthur isn't leaving him with a ton of subtler options.

Superman shrugs, a little. "Getting your life back on track, I guess. Finding out where you were for a year-and why you can't remember it. That sort of thing."

"Are they ever?" Superman sighs, rubbing the back of his head and giving Aquaman a hearty pat on the shoulder. "Well, if she won't tell you, there's probably some kind of reason. All you can do is be ready for it to come up again. And you will be, Arthur-I believe in you."

Superman's eyes narrow, then, as peril appears before his super-vision! "Great Scott, do you see that Aquaman?! Interstellar Whalers...chasing a baby Sun Eater!" Indeed, if Arthur has a way of looking out right around Venus, he'll be able to see and sense the terrified form of a baby Sun Eater, desperately running from three star sloops, their solar sails painted with a familiar symbol...

The sign...of the Scavenger!

"Right, I'll prep a ship. You fight better in the pressure of space than I do, Aquaman-I want you to take the lead on seizing those Star Sloops!"

That said, Superman rushes off-to put his space pants on!

Superman pilots the Justice League's Action Jet as best as he can, always a little afraid of breaking the controls if he loses his concentration for a moment.

But the three Star Sloops that chase the inky ray-like form of the baby Sun Eater are the priority. The ships are thin, and almost seem to glide through the void of space-but each is armed with several gruesome looking harpoons. The Scavenger's symbol is on the center ship, while the one to the right is missing a wing, and the one to the left billows smoke from its cheap engine.

The smokey ship also distinguishes itself by firing a massive asteroid harpoon, smashing through the left wing of the Action Jet! "Golly!" Superman says, struggling to keep steady, "I think they've spotted us!"

His thoughts brush against the alien being's like a feather caressing the hide of a whale. Aquaman's in the middle of a squall of terror, panic, of the monstrous voice echoing a primal call, 'Mother! Mother!'.

"...a laser chain!" Superman exclaims, because the harpoon just manifested one. The jet's being dragged towards the trio of Stellar Sloops! "Can't...break free...!"

"-Arthur, what are you-"

WHAM.

"...well, that's one way to do it." Superman observes, as the jet has slammed into the Stellar Sloop; and indeed, now the two heroes can see the nearly invisible starlight connectors banding the three ships together!-Superman can see pirates of half a dozen species racing forward, screaming, shouting, and firing atomic carbines at the door of the jet, while aboard the central sloop, the Scavenger himself struggles to realign the still-moving vehicle!

"They must be using an etheric atmosphere projector, to allow the crew gravity to maneuver in outside of closed space!" Superman reasons, checking the scanners and then-WHOM. Superman shouts, "Great Scott!" as a massive can-opener looking spearpoint rips through the starboard hull door. "A battering ram! Aquaman, give me a hand here!" Leaping to the right of the door, Superman looks at his friend. "On three, charge forward, get me? One, two..."

A rushing noise and Diana suddenly appears behind them. At the sound of ripping and tearing metal she crouches.

"Great Hera! It looks as though I made it here in time."

"Diana!" Superman does not mention the large, rigid, pointed object Wonder Woman may see them trying to fend off, because sometimes you don't need narration.

"Alliez-oup!" Superman then proclaims, bucking forward! If Aquaman does his part, they'll shove the damaged hangar door off of the side of the Justice Jet, barreling a dozen astral poachers over! Several hang off from silver threads attached to the Stellar Sloop, while Superman leaps forward, ready to fight the pirate menace!

He is then shot in the chest with an electrified trident. "O-ooo-ooow!" Superman shudders, his hands shaking as he tries, fails, tries again, and finally manages to rip the weapon off of him. "I...I think we've got Gordanians." Superman points, to where a smug looking lizard-man is backed up by five of his clutch brothers.

Thankfully there are space re-breathers nearby, and Diana grabs the nearest and fits it to her face.

She then dives out of the now-open door, heading towards the nearest Star Sloop and wrestling with one of the giant space harpoons, attempting to remove it from the ship.

"She never was one for hanging back." Superman asides to Aquaman, happy that his friend's spirit seems to have been sparked again. Diana makes an easy charge to the harpoon cannon, which is heavily bolted onto the Star Sloop. She can get it off, but it'll take a few moments to properly tug it free.

Moments the pair of Gordianians, armed with electrified tridents, capture bolas, and heavy laser nets don't intend to give her.

The other three charge at Superman and Aquaman. "Ack!" Superman exclaims, a pair of bolas wrapping around his legs and leaving him hopping for balance. Stupid screwy artificial gravity. Aquaman, meanwhile, has to deal with one Gordanian kneeling down and shooting his trident at him, while the other closes into striking distance, swiping its claws at the king of the sea.

The two Gordianians close in on her with tridents at the ready, and one shoots a laser net at her.

The net she ducks, barely, but this brings her in line with one electrified trident, and her back arches as the current races through her body.

Another tug and the harpoon cannon is free.
