All of the research has been done.

All of the information has been collected.

All of the properties with Lex Luthor's name still attached, few that they are, have been diverted elsewhere. All of the properties that /used/ to have his name attached are now on a list and that list has been generally enchanted by one man who has the name of Constantine.

It is one of the stupid things that comes with magic - there must always be totems and symbols associated with anything that means something. Sacrifice and cost are high up on the list as well - especially the way her friend does magic.

It feels a little anti-climactic to be standing here in this hotel room, alone and done. If Lex Luthor... when Lex Luthor comes back, he'll have to start over from scratch.

It isn't much but it is what it is.

And now she has to decide what comes next.

That means she needs to make a call or two.

She's a little delayed but she does show up. It was a matter of time, really, before more people started looking into what she had been doing. Sitting down near Oliver, she too is wearing sunglasses but it doesn't seem to stop the ocassional telephoto lens from catching her.

"I'm just working on my Jackie O impression."

Selina looks over at him and lets out a soft sigh, "Not well. I've been keeping busy with all of this but I'm starting to lose the edges."

"I'm done with it. Everything I can do regarding him, I have done." There is a small pause, "Unless you can get me to where ever it is they took him." Selina looks skyward briefly but looks back toward the ground as if doing so is too much effort or perhaps painful.

The silence lasts for a bit into awkwardness after the offer, "Why, Oliver? It isn't like you actually know me at all."

Just when she thought she was past anything being able to deliver fresh pain to this situation, there it is again. For a moment, she struggles with the emotion, just wanting to be done with it all. She's tired of hurting and tired of being angry about hurting.

"I can't say the idea doesn't have merit. Though it makes a lot of things complicated." There is, after all, still a ring on her finger.

Selina looks at Oliver for a few moments.

"Well, unless something changes, I don't think I need to worry about money. I..." She's always had a hard time accepting money from Bruce and his not being here doesn't make it even easier.

"I still... I still just can't ... process it. I..."

"That's what I can't process. You know how many times it hasn't been true?" Selina looks at her hands for a moment, the long nimble fingers so adept at so many things. The ring still on one of them.

"Should be somewhere out of the way, private. Cameras and microphones follow me everywhere." Also, though she feels numb and empty, she's never sure what reaction might come next.

Selina adjusts her glasses and clears her throat. She's fine, really.

"No. It isn't. Gotham just has more per square mile."

Her hand on his arm isn't just there, she actually holds on to him as though she needs the support.

There are so many answers to that question that come to mind but none of them are appropriate for here and now. "Coffee will be fine."

"There is a little voice in my head that says this is what I get for getting soft."

Selina pours in cream and sugar before even attempting to take a sip of the stuff. She stirs idly while she's thinking, the metal making a soft clink against the side of the mug.

"He does and he doesn't. I think, at least," Selina says, still not entirely comfortable. "He's very emotional but also very controlled - most of the time." Her expression changes and she bites her bottom lips for a moment before whatever memory grabbed her passes.

"Some more than others. Some of them I never got along with." And that's an understatement if there ever was one.

"I'd ask first. I'm not sure what his policy is on people in his town. Even to help." She and Dick didn't part on bad terms but they weren't exactly good, either. Lifting the mug, she takes a sip, the spoon pressing against her cheek as she does so.

"Eddie has been a good friend. And Ozzie is all about business, always has been. Outside of that, you're taking things into your own hands."

"I don't know yet. For awhile it was what I lived. I haven't been done with it for long enough to say what else I'm doing." Selina shrugs a bit before she takes another sip from her mug.

"I'm sure something will come along. It usually does."

"I've never entirely been out, you know."

Selina smiles faintly, "The innocent have all of you. The people up in the sky looking down from up above. I'm not that person." She takes another sip from her mug.

"And I have done some of that. I just have to make sure I'm not getting them killed." Her conflict with Black Mask got a lot of the people she was trying to save hurt and sometimes hurt badly. The last thing she wanted to do was make the lives of those people harder.

"I don't know if I can be in Gotham right now. At some point, though, yes."

The card is taken and vanishes quickly there after. Selina looks up at Oliver as he pulls her chair back. "I should go back for a bit, at least. Still, while I'm in Metropolis..."

Selina stands lets the statement trail off before she leans in to press a kiss on his cheek. "Thank you, Oliver."
