Injustice League Sitdown

 General Eiling had been busy the past few days. He successfully   recruited Atomic Skull, Mammoth, and Girder to serve as muscle for the growing Injustice League. He didn't find Grundy, though he'd heard a considerable amount of rather odd intel on his recent activities. He also made sure Charaxes had a plentiful amount of food. He'd also made it a point of going over the Oolong headquarters with a fine-toothed comb.

In this, The Sinestro Corpsman, Bur'Gunzaa, had been a godsend. The alien was a competent aid, and made this task much easier. They discovered a lot of interesting details to report. At the moment, Eiling and Bur'Gunza were waiting on the arrival of Grodd and Deathstroke. Eiling had received a message from both, indicating they were returning, though Grodd implied it would be awhile before he got there.

Slade arrives in a small-jet he used his considerable funds from his many hits to buy. It looked like an ordinary private-jet, but it had considerable defensive capabilities. As the jet stopped, Slade exited, looking to General Eiling as he removed his mask. "Hello General." He walked towards the hulking man. "Things have been going well. Bizarro is now in the fold, and we have an alliance with the 100."

Eiling would smile, but his tusks made it difficult.

"Things have gone well on our front as well. I've managed to purchase the services of Atomic Skull, Mammoth, and Girder for use as muscle. Regrettably we could not locate Grundy, though we did learn some rather odd details of his last appearance. Grodd will be here momentarily, but indicated he would be late due to 'complications'." Eiling gives a nod of his head to Bur'Gunza. "The Corpsman and I have been casing our new home and have found a few interesting tidbits."

"Such as?" Deathstroke asks, raising an eyebrow.

Bur'Gunza opened his hand, revealing a small surveillance device.

"We found this. It's been recording our activities for awhile now. Judging by its placement, it was here before our arrival. Clearly it was put here by the previous owners of the island."

Slade looked at the device, pondering what to do. Whoever built this complex surely had some pretty advanced tech, and great resources, but there was no way of knowing if this person was trustworthy. For a fact it couldn't be an informant of the heroes, otherwise Superman and the others would be busting through the walls. "Put some sort of shield around it, stop it from sending or recieving anything. Later we can decide what to do with it once and for all."

Bur'Gunza nodded and took off to do just that.

Eiling turned back to Slade.

"We also managed to open one of the extra rooms, seems to be some kind of simulated jungle. There's some kind of creature in there. We've kept the room locked for now. I considered putting the thing down, but I wanted to wait for your okay."

"If it's powerful and we can find some way to control it, it might be a useful weapon." Slade says, sitting down at a table. "Before we get to that, we may have some buisness to discuss."

Grodd enters the room, and looks like he's been through a war. Various patches of his fur were stained with blood. Several bruises and cuts covered him, some from punches, others with what looked like blades. He pointedly uses his fists for support as he walks toward the table.

"Forgive my tardiness. I was..delayed."

"Holy shit Grodd, Did you fall through a meatgrinder?" Slade asked, suprised to see the usually suave (by Gorilla standards) Grodd in such bad shape.

"Let's see," Grodd mutters as he eases himself into another large chair. "First we had to fight way to the Apokiliptan equipment. To do that we had to fight through Steppenwolf and Kalibak. Through my considerable mental prowess, I lobotomized the brute."

After that we confronted Darkseid himself. I attempted to learn what i could of the Anti-Life equation from Desaad." Grodd growled as he indicated the cuts. "The worm used some kind of mental technique that convinced my body that it was being cut, so I was forced to lobotimize him too. After that I had to hold back Darkseid's psionic powers with my own."

Grodd took a deep breath before he continued.

"Then, when I attempted to take my leave, Flash tried to stop me." He in indicated the bruises. "I got these fighting him. We were slatemated until Sentinel arrived. Realizing the enormity of my contribution, he convinced Flash to let me leave. And now here I am."

"Wow, rough day." Slade said. "Anyway, if you want to know what you've missed, I'm thinking about it right now."

"Rough day indeed." Grodd takes a brief look into Deathstroke's mind, bringing himself up to speed. "Well, at least things have been productive on your end. There is one matter I'd like to bring up. It's Kutler, he's smarter than he should be."

"What the hell do you mean? Kutler's always been smart."

"Anyway, do you guys agree with my suggestions, or have any other ideas?" Slade asks, trying to come out with a solid itinerary for a little while at least.

"No objections that I haven't stated in the past. We just need to have some safeguards put in place in case any egomaniacs or pyschos try to screw us for ther own agendas. Also, I have two things I'd like to bring up. One," Eiling slides a mnilla folder to Deathstroke. "Here's all the intel I could get on that Scarab guy Karu-Sil ran into. Which brings me to issue number 2."

Eiling leans forward.

"Scarab knows a member of the Sinestro Corps stole the Amazo unit. Now Karu-Sil says that she made it look like a remnant of the SC was responsible so as not to expose our growing movement." Eiling takes a moment to make sure Bur'Gunza wasn't in listening distance. "They invaded the planet not too long ago and you can believe if the League gets wind of this they'll make hunting them down a priority. That could potentially expose us. We need a sacrificial lamb. Someone for them to beat to make them think the threat is neutralized."

"Well, we can't sacrifice one of our own, so maybe we can find one somewhere on the planet. If their will is weak enough, maybe they can be controlled by your telepathy Grodd." Slade says, rubbing his chin thoughtfully as he flicked through the folder. "Looks like Scarab is somewhat small-scale, so this working it's way up to the League will take time. Do we know of any other's we can use?"

"From what Karu-Sil has told me there are only two other Corpsmen on Earth who refused to submit to her leadership of the Earthbound-Faction. Bur'Gunza!" Grodd calss as the large alien makes his way back. He extends his ring creating two golden images. A large human-looking, muscle bound man with a long, full mustache and beard, and a faceless alien covered with spikes.

"Haasp and Scivor. Both are highly intelligent, but also psychotic. Scivor's is a calm, calculating madness with a will rivaling a Green Lantern. For years he posed as a god of pain for an alien civilization and few beings know as much about the art." Bur'Gunza indicates the human-looking figure. "Haasp is obsessed with hunting, far more so than Karu-Sil. Specializing in hunting sentient beings, the more exotic the better. His primary goal is the death of his brother, a Green Lantern named Harvid. I don't know why either haven't left Earth yet. Both are dangerous, which is why Karu-Sil can't afford to kill them. Any battle with them would bring us into the open."

"Grodd, do you think you can put the illusion of Harvid over Green Lantern, maybe push Haasp into direct conflict with the League?" Slade asks his telepathic gorilla friend.

"I'll talk to Prometheus if I can find him. If he's convinved this a 'kill the Justice League' op and not a 'protect ourselves from the League' op, then I don't think I'll have any problems bringing him on board. Besides, we were in the Monster Society together. He knows I never bought into that whole protection racket Kuttler had going." Eiling seems to snarl. "I could probably find Chesire too, but I'd take in any 'commitment' she'd make with a grain of salt. As for Circe..hell, I'll admit it, she makes me nervous. You know..the whole turning men into pigs thing."

"I've worked with her once or twice. Just don't say anything that can be even remotely misconstrued as anti-feminist." Slade says. In truth, he's kinda with Eiling on that one.

"I'll see if I can locate Metallo and Inertia. The boy maybe insane but I am a sworn enemy of the same man his ancestors despised so he may be more disposed to listening to me. As for Brainiac," Grodd smiled. "I think I'll leave that enviable task to you."

"Fun." Deathstroke said sarcastically. "I'll also deal with Circe, so General, that leaves Prometheus and Chesire for you." Deathstroke began selecting new clips for his weapons from nearby crates, "Bur'Gunza, I want you to find Scizor's location, and tell Karu-Sil to meet me there." He says to the hulking sinestro corpsman. "Anything else before we take care of buisness?" Slade asks, inserting a knife into a sheathe on his belt.

"I will do as you say. I will also attempt to locate Haasp. I would say good luck with Scivor. but.." The alien paused. "it will take considerably more than that."

"Thank you Bur'gunza." Slade says, turning back to the others for any closing remarks.
