It took a little bribery and investigation to find Black Mask's current safehouse, and a little more bribery to gain admittance. A weapons check at the door - the thugs couldn't be too careful about their recuperating boss, after all.

Just a friendly little meeting between one of Gotham's cruelest crime bosses, and one of its most flamboyant (former) crime personalities.

Eddie enters the room dressed in one of his finest green suits, giving Black Mask a smile and a nod.

"Roman, dear boy. You look unwell. I hope your chef is feeding you properly."

Part of what gives Gateway City it's name are the large, artistic arches that have been constructed at the entrances and exits of the city. At some point last night, someone decided to add their own personal decoration to the largest of these arches, which had originally been designed to look like it was a monument from Ancient Greece. Unfortunately the new decoration was more in line with the kind of thing Attila the Hun might have erected.

The skinned bodies of five male sex offenders hang upside down from the arch, all pinned to the stone with heavy metal spikes. Across the top of the arch 'Cheetah' is written in their blood, which is pooling nicely now in a large puddle in the road. Cheetah herself has long since sprinted away, but the message is there for all, especially Wonder Woman, to see.

Cheetah is back.

Catalina is lying on her belly, a scant corner of Egyptian cotton over her hips and thighs, her fingers absently trailing up and down the space between Slade's pectorals and waist. She has about her a sense of idleness and possession, as if one of the world's elite assassins were her lap dog. In a sense he is.

"Viejo," she murmurs, head turned on the mattress toward him, "A friend of mine has told me something interesting about Metropolis. Now that I can show my face again, I thought perhaps I could make myself more useful."
