It is easy to get stuck in a particular way of thinking about things and not realize it. The world and all of the things in it are always changing and you have to remember to change with it. Bette, as pointed out to her through her conversation with Kory, is still thinking of the Titans, herself as a hero and a number of other things as if she were still eighteen and on the outside.

Which now that she sees it, is stupid.

It is a whole different world out there and it is time for her to go claim her actual place in it, instead of waiting for someone to give it to her. Has she really still been waiting for that phone call all this time? Heading to the communications room, Flamebird shakes her head at herself, marveling at the oddity of it all.

Once in the communications room she looks at the screen for a few moments before starting to use the console.

They'd all been informed that there was a new guy coming to meet with the JSA, a relative of Zatanna.

So Jennie-Lynn was there, early even, to greet him when he came by the Brownstone. She wants to make sure he feels welcome, and if she has to drag her teammates there by their ears, she wouldn't hesitate.
