In San Francisco, things are torrential

Jesse Quick has sent out the APB.

But right now, Titans Tower is on fire in half a dozen places, and the torrential storm overhead isn't stopping the fires nearly enough. Lightning sizzles through the sky, and well over a dozen flying figures soar around the Tower, surveilling it and occasionally blasting it with something. Many more are on the ground and in the Tower itself - parts of the Tower explode periodically as the violence escalates.

The Tower is under siege, and the Titans are fighting a losing battle.

But things change, and Weather Wizard turns his head and sees:

Mistake - the Shark's eyesight isn't that good to begin with.

It lunges at her, jaws snapping.

The move she was planning, doesn't quite blend in with that so well. As she backtracks, flipping over backward, she pulls out another bolo preparing to charge it. The electricity works well.

It always seems to.

She hopes she doesn't have to burn out another suit.

The second bolo does the job and he collapses there, smoking a bit.

"Whoa."

Flamebird stands there looking down having a Keanu moment, before bending over and trying to recapture her bolos before moving on. "Hey, can anyone out there hear me?"

Her comm crackles to life as Dr. Polaris' attention is otherwise occupied.

The other end sounds... violent.

We've got massive multiple incursions here. Are you all - one second -

A sound of something exploding.

Are you all right?

"So far. There was a.... thing with sharp teeth out here." Flamebird takes her bolos back, "Do you know where anyone needs me? I'm not sure how I'd get out to the island...."

I can initiate a remote teleport but -

Gunfire over the comm.

- things are hectic here. Are you sure?

"If you need my help, then bring me over."

Definitive and yet enitrely not.

Without further ado there's a flash and suddenly she's in an abandoned hallway -

which isn't abandoned for long as two women dash into it.

Bonny: Look, another one!
Carmen: How many of these losers ARE there?

And they raise their Uzis and start spraying bullets at her.

Bullets! Damn it.

As Flamebird dives out of the way, she reaches up to her goggle lenses and triggers them, making the blinding light flare out toward them.

They both recoil in the flare, giving Bette a few seconds.

Flamebird charges toward them.

Reaching down, she throws one of her lines toward the wrists of one of the two, as she leaps into the air. The idea is to plant her size six boots in the other blonde's chest, while binding the brunette's wrists together.

The best plans, so on and so forth.

It works surprisingly well, as Bonny goes down hard - but Carmen manages to cut open her bonds and dash for a gun.

Flamebird is really not liking guns right now but the worst feeling about it, is that she has a feeling that she's about to get shot. Whether or not it is going to happen. Pulling two small objects out of her belt, she throws the flashbangs in front of Carmen as she lands and attempts to close the distance between them.

Carmen closes her eyes exactly at the right time - don't fool a Body Double twice - and the guns slide into her hands as she slides away from the other woman.

Got you!

And she opens full auto on the hero.

The bullets bounce off a shimmering blue forcefield.

I think not.

Oh Jesus.

Oh, thank God.

Closing the distance between the two of them, Flamebird flicks a quick line of kicks toward the other woman. Her training started in kickboxing, after all, and she's trusting in Brainy to let her through but not Carmen or the bullets.

Does she know if he can do that? Not in the least. Bette's all about the blind leaps off the cliff.

The shielding works fine thusly, and Carmen goes down fast, still groggy from the grenade Robin tossed back at them earlier.

Flamebird pulls out her trusty zip ties and binds their wrists together before turning around to look for Brainy.

Dozens of ice-spikes are headed straight for them.

He shrugs as his forcefield easily blocks every one.

Unimpressive.

He tosses the laser cannon he brought out to Bette.

Dial control on the left sets power, trigger fires, about twenty shots before you drain the battery. Enjoy.

Flamebird catches the laser canon and almost throws it back at him. What the hell does she know about laser canons? She was just going to go over to Brainy to thank him and everything but now... NoooOoOoo.

Stupid ice wench. This should be sort of of like a video game, right? She's played one or two of those...

Bringing the canon up, she aims at the ice woman, adjusting the settings to non-lethal before she fires.

She barely gets up an ice shield in the way - and a second after the laser blast her shield's gone.

She'd never admit to being happy to teleport away, but she is.

"Well. That's a non-starter."

Flamebird turns to look at Brainy, "Now what?"

Make sure our own are all right. Capture anybody they left behind.

He soars off.
