In San Francisco, things are torrential

Jesse Quick has sent out the APB.

But right now, Titans Tower is on fire in half a dozen places, and the torrential storm overhead isn't stopping the fires nearly enough. Lightning sizzles through the sky, and well over a dozen flying figures soar around the Tower, surveilling it and occasionally blasting it with something. Many more are on the ground and in the Tower itself - parts of the Tower explode periodically as the violence escalates.

The Tower is under siege, and the Titans are fighting a losing battle.

But things change, and Weather Wizard turns his head and sees:

Carmen closes her eyes exactly at the right time - don't fool a Body Double twice - and the guns slide into her hands as she slides away from the other woman.

And she opens full auto on the hero.

The bullets bounce off a shimmering blue forcefield.

Closing the distance between the two of them, Flamebird flicks a quick line of kicks toward the other woman. Her training started in kickboxing, after all, and she's trusting in Brainy to let her through but not Carmen or the bullets.

Does she know if he can do that? Not in the least. Bette's all about the blind leaps off the cliff.

The shielding works fine thusly, and Carmen goes down fast, still groggy from the grenade Robin tossed back at them earlier.

Flamebird pulls out her trusty zip ties and binds their wrists together before turning around to look for Brainy.

Dozens of ice-spikes are headed straight for them.

He shrugs as his forcefield easily blocks every one.

Unimpressive.

He tosses the laser cannon he brought out to Bette.

Dial control on the left sets power, trigger fires, about twenty shots before you drain the battery. Enjoy.

Flamebird catches the laser canon and almost throws it back at him. What the hell does she know about laser canons? She was just going to go over to Brainy to thank him and everything but now... NoooOoOoo.

Stupid ice wench. This should be sort of of like a video game, right? She's played one or two of those...

Bringing the canon up, she aims at the ice woman, adjusting the settings to non-lethal before she fires.

She barely gets up an ice shield in the way - and a second after the laser blast her shield's gone.

She'd never admit to being happy to teleport away, but she is.

Flamebird looks like she's about to say or do something there and then... just watches him head off. Putting the cannon down, she starts to look to see if anyone needs her help.
