It took a little while to drive to their destination.  After finding out the identity of the two women who apparently have a sinister interest in Corrine, Trevor and Sand arrive at the house.  It looks fairly affluent, but not exactly mansion material.

Sand got out of the car.  "Nice place."

"We found the bartender," Trevor says, jumping in before Sand can speak. One hand is holding the towel against his stomach as he holds the other one up toward Sand. As he continues, he points to his stomach, shakes his head at Sand, and makes a cutting gesture across his throat. "He was a stooge. We also found the people behind the stooge, who are apparently the Witches of Eastwick. They got away, but at least we know we're dealing with magic now. Pretty powerful stuff, too."

Yup, there's Hotshot.

"Yeah, Fate and the Chimp told us that much. they gave us an alchemical rundown of what might make the antidote. Brainwave and I are looking up the real chemistry now so I can do something with it."

Aaron Spelling? Well, she has compared life with this little group to being like "Melrose Place," so why the hell not?

"Gotcha," She's already moving that direction. I'll set him up on the laptop. Due to the connection he'll likely be able to start in 10 miniutes. It's not exactly a simple protocol or a simple place to get a link."

8 munutes later, she's got him on the computer.

8 minutes and 10 seconds later, he's searching. "This isn't exactly a Cray, so this may take a little bit even with broadband speed. I'll keep you posted."

"I'm gonna get it checked out," Trevor assures him. He pulls the towel away with a hiss, noting that the bleeding has stopped at last. "But while we're thirty miles away, all Tara can do is wonder 'What the hell did Trevor do to himself this time?' instead of concentrating on Corrine."

"Besides, when you run with Caleb Zukov, you learn first aid the hard way."

Trevor pulls his pack from the back seat, and strips his torn shirt off with a grunt. The wounds aren't as deep as they had appeared at first, but still painful enough to make him think they'll need stitches. Instead he pulls a first aid kit and a bottle of alcohol from his pack, and uses the remains of his costume to dab the antiseptic on the wounds.

"Christ, that stings," Trevor mutters as he works, pulling gauze and tape from his pack.

"Well, this would be me going back to the chemistry that did not teach me at St. Anthony's."

And she's starting to love her memory and hate these books. She'd swear it was total crap if she didn't work here.
