He had been waiting for over 20 minutes. They were taking their sweet time getting here. Potion had about maybe 15 minutes to go, and it was still short one ingredient. No sign of the Chimp yet, but hopefully he's at least tried to contact and, getting no answer, is calling the cavalry in as we speak.
Then he hears rustling from the woods, behind the house. Figures, they're coming from the wrong direction.
He moves inside - hoping that by doing that, Hotshot and Green Shield, flanking him within the woods from each side, follow parallel. He moves through the house, not even bothering to acknowlege Brainwave.
He gets out the back door when he sees the barn explode in a ball of fire.

Enchantress.

She's suddenly surrounded by arc lighting, and in a moment, Enchantress is gone...

Date: 2006-09-25 03:17 am (UTC)The next five things happen at once...as was planned.
Among the many humorous things baseball great Yogi Berra once said, one of Sand's favorites was actually sound strategy - "Hit 'em where they ain't.", meaning get the ball to an area where there were the fewest defenders to catch it.
In this case, it means using the confusion to switch partners at a moments notice. As Enchantress said the first syllable of her name, Sand was already underground...and up directly behind Psimon.
He knew if he shifted to silicoid form it would be too late - Psimon would know what was coming, so he settled for normal human strength - a crouching palm thrust right to the solarplexus, followed by a palm uppercut right up the bridge of his nose. The pain he was feeling at this moment would be superceding any attempt at mental domination he could imagine for at least the next several seconds.

She does slump to the floor, unconscious.
