(The following is a continuance of this scene.)
The battle wasn't going well...but it could be a lot, LOT worse.
The chimp had arrived, and he brought backup - but it sure as heck wasn't the Justice League.
Sand had surveyed the situation. Chimp was on his way to meet with Corrine and Caleb, to add the last ingredient of the potion. Tefe Holland (not sure how SHE got there, but she was a welcome sight) was advancing on where Green Shield and the blue man were fighting it out - and Tara looked like she needed help. The aliens had shifted form - into a werewolf-like creature and an ice construct, apparently - and were about to engage Mammoth and Shimmer.
Meanwhile, Brainwave and Psimon were apparently fighting one another, with neither getting a clear advantage over the other just yet. The witch, Magique, however, had just apparently taken her Megazord form and had laid HARD into Trevor. THERE is where he was needed at the moment.
Sand took a moment to look into the sky almost as if the battle hadn't been fully joined yet.

Date: 2006-09-26 02:18 pm (UTC)He couldn't be destroyed easily, but there's nowhere that plants can't go so in minute amounts she started growing tiny plants on his surface. It would take some time but roots could tear down mountains he wouldn't be any different. But she was doing it so small to start with so he wouldn't notice it was going to take a while so keeping him busy was a must.
"Stay away from her."

Date: 2006-09-26 04:28 pm (UTC)"No." He simply says, and unleashes multiple waves of destructive radiation energy towards Tefe.

Date: 2006-09-26 04:40 pm (UTC)And plant life is adaptable, she just had to change what she was trying to grow on him and flood it with enough energy to keep going. But it was going to be a very slow process.
"I won't let you hurt her." and the roots under the ground heave up to try and throw him backwards and off balance.

Date: 2006-09-26 06:07 pm (UTC)He keeps up the low-level drain, just forcing this being to keep adapting. At least it causes the occasional pause. Then he starts probing, further and further out, trying to locate every tiny flake of lead deposit he can, not doing anything with it yet, just locating it, while being an annoyance to the radiation behing to keep him from going all out on the others for the moment.

Date: 2006-09-27 12:53 am (UTC)As he continues the radiation assault, keeping the white-haired one at bay, he begins scanning the immediate area for various forms of energy signatures, as Sivana designed him to do. He wasn't worried (not that he could worry) about the energy drain, as the device was self-sustaining.
He tried all the various aspects of the Earth electromagnetic spectrum, then goes for detection of the more alien forms of energy that have been researched to date, starting with Nth metal, then working his way to the telltale energy signature of an Oan power ring...

Date: 2006-09-27 01:28 am (UTC)He draws all the flakes of lead he finds, and sets them to blanketing the air around the blue creature, keeping it more like a cloud of mosquitoes than a wall. Nothing to punch or destroy with strength, nothing to really grab. The downside - it doesn't provide complete shielding to anyone, but it isn't meant to. Travis isn't trying to defeat this monstrosity - just blunt its efforts and provide some protections for others from its blasts, and interfere sporadically with its radiation based senses.

Date: 2006-09-27 02:14 am (UTC)He flies upward, streaking like a bullet towards the general location where he's sensing the Oan energy coming from, ripping the roots from the ground as he flies.

Date: 2006-09-27 02:30 am (UTC)There's only one thing she can do and she reaches out a burst of energy to the plants on the big blue guy, just one little crack....

Date: 2006-09-27 03:39 am (UTC)There only one good shot; she takes an arrow and shoves it at this thing's chest at full strength.

Date: 2006-09-27 06:39 am (UTC)As Tara fires her arrow, he flies up, matching speed with the being to buy those few more seconds, reading the structure of the arrow - and, if it punches through the armor, transmutes it to lead. Physical damage probably doesn't mean much to a being made out of energy. But disrupting the flow?
Maybe.

Date: 2006-09-27 02:07 pm (UTC)The creature was now leaking energy. He diverts resources to repair - resources that prevent him from operating at peak efficiency.
Even at 80%, though, he's still one tough customer. He continues to follow the energy signal, and slams head on toward where he senses the energy, intending to bring him down to earth and piledrive him into the ground.
Concurrently, the surface color of his skin shifts from blue to bright yellow.
...
...of COURSE Sivana built some anti-Lantern tricks into him. Every super team in AMERICA has a Green Lantern anymore...

Date: 2006-09-27 02:40 pm (UTC)Trees put on a growth spurt and rocket up at the construct from below. It should be like being hit with a catapult from underneath knocking him off target.
Hopefully anyway.

Date: 2006-09-27 06:27 pm (UTC)As they're heading groundward, his mind is remarkably clear. He focuses on that leaking energy signature - the radiation leaking out, since its the only part of the creature he can detect now. And prepares, steeling his will.
As he hits the ground, instead of shielding himself like most lanterns would, he phases into the ground, ending up deep under the Earth with the momentum. He probably has a couple broken ribs from the impact, but that's not important now. What is is targetting that spot of the radiation leak, and drawing every leaden object in the area to it at high speed. The fragments he'd brought up, the transmuted arrow, anything in the house made of lead - and, while he doesn't realize its there, the shell Fire is trapped in, as if they were all magnetized to fly at that singular weak spot.

Date: 2006-09-27 07:41 pm (UTC)He then began to feel the accumulation of lead, and as such placed his hand over the leak. Lead's great at blocking radiation but not at blocking the things the radiation is fueling internally. In seconds, the puncture point is fused shut, thus "plugging the leak" - the lead currently inside him was minimal enough to only cause a 10% overall decrease in efficiency.

Date: 2006-09-27 07:43 pm (UTC)As the construct finished - fixing itself, for lack of a better word - Sand emerged from the ground, shifted into silicoid form, and hit it as hard as he could.
He sends the creature flying backwards into the woods at high velocity.
