The Titans' arrival is silent and swift, determined and precise. Before the shadow of the jet falls over the state line, Nightwing is relaying the plan to the rest of the team.

"Starfire, flank the building and come around from the rear. Hit it hard, make sure they can't get out. Robin, hit the power on that place. Don't wait, Wonder Girl and Nightstar - get inside and do what you do best. Kid Flash, Jesse, you're looking for anything in there while they're being kept busy that can give us an edge on this damned virus. Omen, keep tabs on any magic users in there. Flamebird, Speedy, follow me in after the heavy hitters do their thing. We're on cleanup."

He pauses to check the instrumentation. "And whoever finds Light... make sure you hurt him."

Double impact. Pain sears as her knee buckles under, jettisoning an involuntary yelp as she drops to the ground.

On the other side, the blonde collapses to the ground as well.

Pain has taken precedence over almost all else.

Irritating little Robin-wannabe. Pretender. Stupid girl. Anger is always a thinly-veiled attribute where Huntress is concerned. It takes little to bring it to the fore.

She lifts her crossbow and fires.

Self-righteous bitch. Thinks she's all that in her stupid purple outfit.

"AAAGHH!!!" As the crossbow bolt impacts her shoulder, she's spun up and thrown a bolo. An electrified bolo.

It wraps around her ankle -- and while her suit is insulated, that's a lot of electricity to fend off.

Goddammit. That hurts.

She screams, but mostly from the intent to commit more violence upon this stick insect than from the pain that arcs through her body.

Flamebird is't doing so well and rage has clouded her vision beyond rationality. It changes how she fights as well. She doesn't even take the bolt out of her shoulder as she throws herself at the woman in purple.

All finese and skill seems to have fled as she leaps, looking to claw at her.

Big mistake. Anger is a constant in Huntress' life. Anger is familiar. She fights with it. She breathes it. And she uses it.

As Flamebird lashes out, her hand comes up to grab the bolt, driving it further through the young woman's shoulder as they collide.

The clinical part of her mind that is still there - the part of her that is a nurse starts to give her a rundown of what, exactly, is happening to her shoulder.

It isn't pretty.

If she had any sense of self-preservation at the moment, she'd be finding a way to get the hell away from this.

She doesn't.

Screaming, Flamebird reaches out to smash Huntress' head into the ground.

She tries to roll away, but the two are locked together on the ground with little room -- and in too much pain -- to maneuver. She grabs for the blonde's hair, looking to return the favor --

Concrete impacts her skull.

Her world goes black.

About the same time, Bette's world fogs out and she slumps over Huntress. She really has just enough time to see that her brilliant ploy (or not so much) was successful before giving in to the world of pain.
