The Titans' arrival is silent and swift, determined and precise. Before the shadow of the jet falls over the state line, Nightwing is relaying the plan to the rest of the team.

"Starfire, flank the building and come around from the rear. Hit it hard, make sure they can't get out. Robin, hit the power on that place. Don't wait, Wonder Girl and Nightstar - get inside and do what you do best. Kid Flash, Jesse, you're looking for anything in there while they're being kept busy that can give us an edge on this damned virus. Omen, keep tabs on any magic users in there. Flamebird, Speedy, follow me in after the heavy hitters do their thing. We're on cleanup."

He pauses to check the instrumentation. "And whoever finds Light... make sure you hurt him."

Son of a... rookie mistake, to fall for that trick. The tar coats his feet and slows him to a halt - but he's not down and out. As he struggles to vibrate himself free, his arms whirl into powerful cyclone bursts of wind, to blast at Bart and knock him back and as far away as possible...

The cyclonic winds seem to put a damper on his planned follow-up, as he tumbles backwards. He's not off his feet for long, though - hopping up and using the winds to push him off in a dash away from Wally.

It takes FAR too long for his leg vibrations to free him from the tar, but eventually, he springs out with similar cyclone bursts from his feet. The residual gunk on his boots also slows him down fractionally - which is all you need when dealing with speedsters.

Still, he's off after his extremely disappointing protege as quickly as he can manage in the circumstances...

And guess who's on his way back, after a brief visit to a local store?

It's Bart, and it looks like he's borrowed a page out of the Trickster's book, though even the Trickster's never resorted to hurling simple Silly Putty at the Flash.

Nonetheless, a dozen egg-shaped blobs are coming in at near the speed of sound.

Silly Putty - what the hell is he thinking?

He dodges a few, knowing that anything coming at him at high speed is going to sting, but come on it's not like - OW!

There's absolutely NO elasticity in this goop at this speed, and it shatters like glass - and once one hits, it's easier for several more to hit and bloody up his body. He manages to keep it out of his eyes, but his arms, raised defensively, are ripped up something fierce.

The kid gets cussed out violently...

"You're a has-been. And that's a Flash Fact."

If Bart has a cardinal vice, it is overconfidence. He runs in a tighening circle, attempting to draw the oxygen out from around his mentor.

Wally has had enough.

His breath is held, and he waits for Bart to JUST get close enough... then he lunches for the kid's throat, both hands gripping it in a stranglehold as he begins to draw the Speed Force out of the kid entirely.

"What the Flash GIVETH, the Flash also TAKETH AWAY!"

The abrupt stop and the the stranglehold aren't doing Bart's breathing any favors, but they may have shocked him back to his senses. "W-Wally.." he rasps.
