Robin's figured out who was behind the Alcatraz breakout and gave assistance to the most dangerous metahuman prisoners. Mammoth and Shimmer.

Where there's one, there's the other, and both are tied to Dr. Light. The question is if they're still here gloating, or if they're long gone. Nightwing glances down at the small device in his hand that shows his daughter's condition.

It's worsening.

Fingers close over it once more, a new and cold determination taking hold.

"Nightwing to all Titans. Mammoth and Shimmer are behind this breakout, and we've got reason to believe they're still here. We find them, it's a short hop to find Light. Omen - do your thing. Flush these pieces of filth out."

She's prepared, but only slightly. She dodges the first fist, but in doing so, she's hit by the second.

Cassie's thrown back, swatted away like a blonde Californian fly before she regains herself.

Okay, so fists? Definitely not the best idea.

She unhooks her lasso and twirls it above her head, aiming for Mammoth's meaty neck.

He doesn't have the best reflexes, but he has time to see that coming, and he grabs for the shiny string with his other hand, catching hold of it to swing it - and the girl - around his head.

Alright, fine, he wants to play Around The World with her, he can.

She doesn't mind being his yo-yo for a moment if it busies him enough for someone else to get a hit in.

He's had it. He's fed up, sick and tired, bruised and battered, and wants this nightmare of a day to end. But it won't - it just keeps dragging on and on and on and on. And people keep getting hurt, people he cares about. Team members. Family.

"Cassie!" Damage calls out, sprinting forward, his arms glowing brightly. Sure, Mammoth is built like an Abrams tank, but despite that massive explosion that took out D-Bomb a few moments before, Grant's still got a lot of energy to burn.

Turning his shoulders and twisting his upper body, Damage cocks his fist back and aims a fierce uppercut at Mammoth's jaw. No one has ever really accused Grant of subtlety.

Mammoth feels that one, and he loses his balance, letting go of the shiny cord as he does so. Roaring incoherently with rage, he swings at the new gnat demanding his attention.

Cassie's thrown away, but its not far.

She grits her teeth as she lands on her back before getting up again.

Zeus.

This. Is. It.

From her hidden position, Flamebird lets the bolo fly from her hands. As it flies, she moves quickly, trying to find a new place to hide as she prepares another bolo to fly.

His increased biochemical energy levels boost his reflexes just enough that Damage is able to duck out of the way of the massive fist that is heading directly for his head. Lunging to the side, rolling up over his injured shoulder, Damage comes up on one knee, turning toward Mammoth.

Extending his arms, both fists pointed directly at the hulking, bearded brute, Damage unleashes a focused blast of explosive energy at Mammoth's feet.

Mammoth is strong, but not especially agile. The explosion doesn't hurt him, but the ground beneath his feet doesn't share his invulnerability. He gives an inarticulate cry of frustrated rage as he stumbles and staggers, trying to regain his footing.

And that's when the green eagle swoops for Mammoth's chest, shifting into a rhinoceros mid-air in the hopes that the solid mass flying towards him will hit directly, knocking him off of his feet and onto his back.

Of course, there are several ways this could go...

One way is that Mammoth's fist, which is now swinging towards Gar, could knock that rhinoceros out of the sky.

Mammoth turns to swing his meaty fist not noticing the Checkmate Knight appearing from cover holding a sledgehammer. With the practice swing of an rock-breaking inmate, the sladgehammer finds it's home on Mammoth's ankle.

As Mammoth swings at the rhino, his face contorts in surprise and pain as the sledgehammer connects. Another bellow of pain, and the brute falls over, rolling away and clambering to his feet.

He thought the size and mass of the rhino would have made any attack less painful than if he was in human form.

Man was he wrong.

As the blow hits, he can feel his breath knocked out of his lungs, thrown away from Mammoth, too distracted to shift before he bounces off the ground once, twice, and a shift into a magpie, with a bounce and a lopsided flight pattern out of harm's way.

He's really hoping that crunch was just the blow impacting, and nothing worse. The ache says otherwise.

Slater dives out of the way of the crashing Rhino and watches as Beast Boy doesn't get up. He turns to Mammoth who starting to try and stand up. Slater knows it will be easier to finish off Mammoth if they can keep him off his feet.

Mammoth rolls until one knee and steps up with his good foot and one hand. With Mammoth's back turned he has an open shot at the bad ankle. Slater charges swing the sladgehammer again at the hurt foot, but this time he goes for the Anchilles' Tendon.
