Cry for Justice - The Conclusion

As the Canary rounds a corner into a larger hallway, leading to the main monitor room, she feels a sharp, hard knee right into her abdomen, followed by a textbook ipponzei throw that sends her onto her back.

As the heroes whip around, they can see a shape materializing roughly 20 feet down the hallway.

The man that started all this mess.

However, he looks different.   He's clean - shaven.  He's wearing a different version of his long-standing costume.  No fin helmet.  The material of the costume is tougher looking, more combat ready.  

But it's the eyes.  The eyes that show no surprise over their arrival.  In fact, there's a sense of familiarity in them.

This was what he wanted.  This is what they wanted.

Be careful what you wish for.

"Long day?" Light says, smiling.

For her part, Sue ducks down an alternate corner. She's out-gunned, but it's time to tweak a system or two while everyone's busy.

The Canary's on her feet in seconds again, closing her eyes in anticipation of a light attack.

Shayera bristles, hand on her mace. Already braced for an attack, herself.

Dr. Mid-Nite slinks off as well, sticking to the shadows.

He doesn't know this place - he's never been to this satellite.

He'll have to improvise a way to make a difference here.

Sue gets three steps around the corner before a side door to her left slides open. One that she didn't remember being in the original satellite.

She barely has time to think before a hard light wall forming to her right shoves her into the door, then it shuts.

As Flash is running around to scour the area, he catches sight of it, and runs toward that door she disappeared into.

Making an attempt to phase through the wall after her.

He phases just fine, but as he enters, she's gone.

However, some of the refits to the satellite come into play, including the stasis field that trips the second he enters, thanks to the sensors he developed to recognize the use of certain forms of energy, such as Green Lantern's power ring and the Speed Force.

The field itself is designed to absorb all attempts at kinetic motion, even subtle ones such as vibration. It won't hold Flash FOREVER, but it should keep him busy for awhile.
