The heroes continue to arrive and partake in the Thanksgiving feast, with varying degrees of relief that the "alien invasion" was merely a ruse.

Mia huffs, "The green kid is smart but he's such a prick." Which sums up Mia's oppinion of Brianiac 5. "And that Savage guy is creepy from what I've heard."

Reluctantly Mia returns to the story.
"Everyone went a crazy. Light's mind mojo person put the wammy on us. Us being the Titans and the JLA. Connor actually lost his temper. I was convinced Connor had come to stop me from finding Dr. Light so that he could find him first and get all the glory. Connor. Glory. And in order to stop him I used the bow and when he knocked the bow away I stabbed him with arrows instead of just shooting him." A pause, "He finally took me down with a nerve strike."

"Dr. Dox is cool, but I had to keep him from spouting the 504 Math text book at someone's ass at some point. Likely you guys then. He said some STAR facility went up."

"Connor," and "glory," don't belong in the same sentence and they know it.

"So, this whole arrow to the crush thing..." she jokes. "Is this some sort of Arrow Clan intiation stunt I didn't get the memo for? Because I think Travis has had enough fun."

"I was unconcious when Connor hauled me out of there but I hear that we did set the place on fire. Pissed off a lot of people."

Mia's willing to go with the lighter mood.
"Hey, if you haven't tried to stick an arrow in their heart then you can't really care about them. Just make sure you choose the right arrow for the job."

She seems dead serious. "What, only glue arrows? Nope, those won't work. that stuff is yellow. Travis could have an ugly time with that."

Then she shrugs. "Only three guys I'm tempted to ventalite these days. One of them just got his butt kicked. that just leaves the teammate and Deathstroke and line forms to the left on that guy."

"Light just got his butt kicked. Deathstroke will get what's coming for him one of these days. But who's the teammate that needs the ass kicking? And can I help? You're like my big sister so if you need an extra boot I'm there." A small grin finishes off the sentance. Yes a person can read two meanings in the 'if you need an extra boot' comment.

"Oh, the same guy I named the hangover cure for. He's an arrogant prick, but he gets the job done." Mia's heard a few 'Caleb is a prick,' mentions. "Chimp and Corrine asked me to lay off the guy. So long as he doesn't try offinf the team leader - Corrine's boyfriend - in some weird way, I'll cope."

She sighs. "I've been asked to join a team. A split off from the JSA. It's a good place to get my med degree and - Well, it's me being there or no team." There's a lot of weight on her words. "Plus Travis is there. The only thing that made me stop in all of it was leaving you with the guys." She moves her brown hair back. "But in compensation, I will have an excuse to lock you and Connor up on a secluded tropical island if that's still in the cards."

"Rocking! You're all important to this team. And you get the med degree and the boyfriend with the nice behind. I'll be alright with the guys so long as we get to touch base once in a while. Besides, I'm doing more with the Titans lately anyhow. And there is the secluded island to think about. I think that could still be in the cards. We came off of the whole beat eachother up thing with far less angst then most, as far as I can tell. And he kissed me at Donna and Roy's wedding. He kissed me!"

"Drama there better than the Brownstone and Ollie doing the 'damn kids off my lawn/I'm not getting any why should anyone here?" No he hasn't said that, but you should witness the vibe he has projected to his staff.

Okay, for those who did not think Tara squees like a lunatic, you would be dead wrong.

"EEEEeee...I mean happy for you. Finally man with a clue to the goodness that is Mia." She does a little dance. "Yeah..."

"Titan drama way more fun then Ollie grumpiness and I'd be fine with him getting ungrumpy so long as he chooses wisely."

Mia laughs and joins in the dance, spinning around. "Oh yeah, Oh yeah," while shaking her booty.

"Ollie? Wisely? Best we can hope for is a triple thick condom and no villains or complete gold diggers knocking on the door," she quips. Then she corrects. "Wait...They used to say that about Arsenal. Nevermind."

There's more Connor dancing then she has to ask. "Okay, is he any good? I mean, he picks up stuff fast, but...This IS, Connor."

"See. Because of Arsenal we have hope for Ollie. But then he has been surprisingly good about the whole Dr. Midnight thing. And speaking of good...I've kissed a lot of guys. Many of which were trying to be impressive but Connor, whooo!" Mia takes a moment to fan herself, "I know he hasn't really kissed many, if any, people so there is no damn way he should be able to be that hot with so little pratice. But I'll take it." She finishes with a grin.

"Yeah...Yeah all three of them really have been." She sobers. "Okay, this last year, I have been waiting for the earth shattering 'kaboom,' out of someone. Nope." she sighs. "If anything, it's too polite."

As for Connor, she has to laugh. "Genetics, I'll bet. Some people are just too damn hot to be single! So, um, is there going to be more in the future there or do I have to smack him around?"

"Too polite? Maybe our little Ollie is growing up!" Mia wipes away a fake tear.

Mia gives a little sigh, "More from Connor? I don't know. Maybe. Signs look good. I'm hoping to drag him out to a movie. Dark theatre, shared popcorn. Basically, just to give him an opportunety. If he doesn't go for it some smacking around is definately in order."

"Please, It's Ollie. Besides, when does Bird boss not have a terrific temper?"

"Oh, if Connor does not figure it out there will be coal in the stocking. Mounds and mounds of coal." There's a smirk. "Besides, maybe getting him to feel like he's got permission to be a bad boy might be good for him."

Mia shrugs, "Point. The three of them will have it out before this gets settled. I just hope no one is completely crushed after it happens."

"Permission to be a bad boy." A dreamy look comes over Mia's face, "Oooh that could be fun! But oh, stockings and Christmas. What do you get for the guy who's religion teaches him to want nothing?"

There's a strong exhale there. "I think that, sadly, is inevitable. I just hope she doesn't wuss out and ditch both of them out of so sort of screwed up nobility. It won'[t make her happy."

Tara stops her first her first response which was You and ribbons.. Mia will catch the split second shade that passes over her face that no one else would - the one that leave this look at the edges of her best friend's eyes - but it is only a split second.

"A way to get to know something new. You." A slight beat. "It's like he's always on the edge of stepping out of that comfort zone and...then he doesn't. But damn...How many movies hasn't he seen? How many concerts hasn't he gone to? Has he actually ever been to a nightclub in his life?"
