JLA Meeting

The call has gone out to all members of the League, active and reserve, and those on the Watchtower are already filing into the meeting room. There will be those who cannot attend but there should be as many people here as possible.

Things have been stagnant since the Tribunal last year, the League is ever more reactionary and less proactive. Dr. Light and Slade are running their own organizations and how has it come so far that the other side is organized and the League is drifting?

It doesn't matter, today they will brief the League on what has happened and they will move on. It's time to finish the healing begun a year ago.

Vixen's quiet for a moment. "Not a lot happened. I was there trying to find out how the Totem," Mari fingers the fox-shaped pendant around her neck. "is affecting my physiology, if at all, and to see if it's powers are more magic-based or science based. Next thing I know, all the power goes out. It seemed as though Dr. Light already knew I was there, because he tracked me down before I could exit the lab room that I was in." Vixen takes a shaky sigh and rubs a bandage across her left arm gently. "We got into it verbally, and I tried to jump him, but he used hard light against me. It was...weird. I'd never seen him like that before. He was practically out for blood."

"He did have a telepath with him, perhaps that is how he knew you were there." But she looks thoughtful, maybe he did know she was there and was counting on getting caught.

"He has changed."

"Yeah. no kidding." Vixen's quiet. "He wanted payback. That's what he told me. That payback was a bitch. Much like I was." Mari shrugs and raises an eyebrow. "Funny. Five years ago, I might have felt victimized by that. Now, I just want to come up against him in a fair fight." Vixen shrugs. "Any idea what it was he wanted?"
