Alcatraz was cracked open and the prisoners spilled free eagerly, but not everyone was spirited off the Rock. Some prisoners had only themselves to blame for that: they were too distracted by the chance to take revenge against the guards or the prison itself to grasp the larger freedom that awaited them across the Bay. As for the rest of the population....
A select few were taken directly to the mainland.
Many others were supplied with inflatable rafts equipped with small lightweight engines.
Some were given inflatable rafts and a set of oars.
Others, either through desperation or cunning, headed for the prison's own docks, where official motorboats awaited those able to overpower the guards.
The warden barricaded himself in his office and continued to sound the mayday, hoping that some help--any help--would arrive soon, before the Rock crumbled into the waters.

She doubts he'll take her up on it, but she has to try.

Date: 2006-11-17 04:17 am (UTC)He's also going to regret the rubber-tipped arrow that's barreling towards his face. Heck, he might not even see it coming. Which probably means he won't see the second or third ones, either, the trajectories slightly adjusted to compensate for dodge.
Oh, yeah. Roy's ready to @#$% up someone's day.

Date: 2006-11-17 04:25 am (UTC)He's also now blasting wildly with the cannon, spraying as much of the general area of his opponent that he can.

Date: 2006-11-17 04:30 am (UTC)Remember the robot dinosaurs from eariler in the year? Remember how Troia threw one into the Bay? It's not in the Bay anymore. Instead, she's carrying the metal hulk up above the waves now and throwing it directly at an unsuspecting Panzer.

Date: 2006-11-17 05:03 am (UTC)The dinosaur leaves a bit of a crater in its wake, but Panzer is nowhere to be seen. For a few long moments it almost seems like it did the trick, but he isn't down that easily.
The metal shifts, cracks, and then blows into large chunks that roll onto the ground, smoking. "Thanks for the ammo." A chunk goes flying in Arsenal's direction, the cannon working to blow it into flying debris. There's no such thing as overkill and with only half his sight, he continues wildly firing.

Date: 2006-11-17 05:11 am (UTC)Roy runs and tumbles, trying to get out of the way as best he can. He can hear the debris and various shots flying past his head, and then something sharp and fast gets him in the leg. He finds the best cover he can, hands working furiously to find what he's looking for in his quiver.
Bingo. Sticky bomb, purposefully designed for armor and with an arrow delivery system. He pops out of his hiding place long enough to fire a few arrows, the sticky bomb somewhere in the barrage.

Date: 2006-11-17 05:15 am (UTC)One seems to have stuck, though.
"Wh--" The bomb detonates, sending Panzer back into the ground in billowing smoke. He looks more annoyed than anything and is charging up that cannon once again.

Date: 2006-11-18 01:49 am (UTC)Unfortunately, now he's using it as a sort of shield and fly swatter. "I thought you were a smarter opponent than that, Troia. I have to say I'm disappointed."

Date: 2006-11-19 12:08 am (UTC)Panzer's too busy dancing around, trying to keep his balance and keep a flitting Donna away. Roy lets two more sticky bombs fly, aimed for his legs.

Date: 2006-11-20 05:05 am (UTC)The armor's kept him pretty protected but now he's buried under his own crude shield. He makes the attempt to unbury himself and get back to his feet.
