Alcatraz was cracked open and the prisoners spilled free eagerly, but not everyone was spirited off the Rock. Some prisoners had only themselves to blame for that: they were too distracted by the chance to take revenge against the guards or the prison itself to grasp the larger freedom that awaited them across the Bay. As for the rest of the population....

A select few were taken directly to the mainland.

Many others were supplied with inflatable rafts equipped with small lightweight engines.

Some were given inflatable rafts and a set of oars.

Others, either through desperation or cunning, headed for the prison's own docks, where official motorboats awaited those able to overpower the guards.

The warden barricaded himself in his office and continued to sound the mayday, hoping that some help--any help--would arrive soon, before the Rock crumbled into the waters.

But the Fadeaway Man simply blinks away again, laughing. "Foolish boy," he says mockingly, teleporting to a different location with each syllable. "How can you hope to catch the Heir of Cagliostro?"

And to reply to that, Gar seems to shift and vanish without a trace.

"What?" The Fadeaway Man's eyes widen in surprise. "Show yourself, coward!"

The area seems quite quiet, despite the sounds of other fights and the klaxxons going off.

He would barely hear the high pitched sound move past him.

A second later, two hands shift from mosquito form behind him, grabbing the cloak's clasp, unhooking and ripping the cloak from his form.

"No!" he cries out, vainly reaching to snatch the cloak back, but Beast Boy has moved too quickly. With an inarticulate howl, he spins and swings a fist at the Titan.

Gripping the cloak, he twists his forearm to block, he grimaces at the pain of deflecting the hit, and throws his other fist underarm, towards the man's gut.

The older man is so eager to grab the cloak again he forgets to block the return, and Beast Boy succeeds in knocking the wind out of him.

Remembering lessons from his peers, he follows up with a heavy angled blow to just above the back of the man's neck.

Fadeway Man is flat on the ground, twitching slightly.

Pulling out a zip-tie, he proceeds to secure the man's arms.

"Here you go Dumbledork, and I'll secure this cloak back inside Hogwarts for ya."

Kneeling for a second, he rubs the leg that the snake attacked.

That's gonna leave a mark...
